The course is intended for practicing teachers from China who want to use modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, and is held remotely for six weeks (48 hours). Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of advanced training.
“When creating the course, we decided to rely on our advantages - a great technical and scientific potential of the South Ural State University, in particular, in the field of information technology. Within this framework, the application of new generation technologies in the humanities seems to be relevant. The uniqueness of this advanced training course is that we offer to study the specifics of using electronic courses in the teaching of Russian as a foreign language. The use of such resources in teaching foreign students provides them with great opportunities for mastering the material, allows the teacher to introduce blended learning technologies into the learning process, em> said Elena Doronina strong>, associate professor of the Russian Language as a Foreign Institute linguistics and international communications of SUSU.
In the first part of the course, course participants will learn the methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language using modern technologies. Listeners will learn about the basic requirements for the preparation of text materials, presentations, images, video and audio files, control tasks - tests, individual and group homework - to place them in an electronic training course, get acquainted with three types of competencies in the process of learning Russian as a foreign language, will develop grammar skills exercises in all types of speech activity, as well as create learning materials for students, with the help of which linguistic and communicative competence.
The second part of the program is designed to master the technology of creating an electronic course. Students will learn what the structure of the course should be, as well as develop a fragment of their own e-course. An important advantage of the program is that it will use the long-term experience of the South Ural State University in the field of e-learning. Olga Elagina, Deputy Director of the Institute of Open and Distance Education of SUSU, heads the technological direction:
“We have long had an additional education program to create electronic courses in the“ Electronic SUSU ”system, which we developed for Russian teachers. With the help of this program about 200 teachers learned and created their own e-courses. Working with colleagues from China is a completely new and interesting experience. Especially for them, we adapted the course content so that it was more understandable and accessible to native Chinese speakers. In addition, we took into account some of the technical limitations associated with the fact that in China may not work any sites. Over time, the course will be improved, we are ready for feedback from listeners to make it as convenient and useful as possible. " Em>
Thus, students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and get a specific result - a fragment of their own course, which they can use when teaching students from China to the Russian language. Their development will be presented in the competition of pedagogical skills. The competition will allow to discuss the issues of teaching methods of the RCT and to share their own experiences. Winners will receive valuable prizes.
As part of the refresher course, teachers at SUSU will hold a master class on the use of electronic resources in teaching Russian at the Tianjin University of Foreign Languages. It is also planned to hold events in other educational organizations in China. In addition, employees of the center "Pushkin Institute" SUSU organize webinars on the methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
Note, the refresher course is conducted according to the Plan of measures to support the Russian language and education in Russian, for the implementation of which the South Ural State University received a grant in 2018
